Mondragon Unibertsitatea is a practical university located in the Basque Country, Northern Spain, immersed in business reality that combines training, research and knowledge transfer to improve the competitive position of companies and organisations. A University that listens to companies and society and responds effectively and with quality to their challenges.
The Faculty of Engineering, which began its activity in 1943, had been the origin of the denominated co-operative movement of Mondragon, grouped together around the Mondragon Corporation, which currently represents the leading industrial private group of Spain.
As a university of knowledge transfer, the Faculty of Engineering has a solid research and transfer model that is articulated around real cooperation with companies and institutions, generating knowledge with a clear market orientation. Thus, it gets more than half of its research funds from private research contracts and it is ranked by U-Multirank on the top of the list of European universities in knowledge transfer.
Mondragon Unibertsitatea offers 16 Bachelor’s degrees and 18 master degrees in 7 knowledge areas: engineering, business management, entrepreneurship, cooperativism, education, media communication and gastronomic and culinary sciences. Currently, 5.700 students are following these courses and nearly the 70% are oriented to dual training methodology. The professional learning space also offers a large variety of courses in order to satisfy the lifelong learning demand of more than 6.500 professionals every year.
